Anyone have an ectopic pregnancy after mirena removal? Or any experiences on ttc after ectopic, having had an IUD prior to getting pregnant?
I had my IUD removed in October to ttc and then had a constant feeling of being sick and exhausted but always had negative results on pregnancy tests, until January when out of no where i had excruciating pain in my abdomen, which came and went throughout the night and had spread up to my ribs by morning. s possible, just because i didn't think it was anything serious, I go to the hospital at 11 am. After a lot of waiting, bloodwork, and an xray, im told congratulations I'm pregnant! We were so happy..
Well after an internal exam and ultrasounds of my entire midsection, I'm told they don't see anything in my uterus.. the pain I had been feeling in my side and ribs was from an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured and I was bleeding internally and had to go up to surgery asap.
This was two days before my birthday and I had bleed more than a quart of blood internally, I also lost a good chunk of my right tube, my obgyn says I still have a "stub", but he's seen women with a tube on the right and ovary on the left still go on to have healthy pregnancies.
Im feeling helpless and hopeless about the loss of something that makes me a woman and what's becoming more and more severe depression about my baby..
I don't know if it has anything to do with the IUD, my obgyn said nothing about it. But it is scary to think about and i do constantly. I don't ever want to go through a loss like this again.
